Manufacturing growth, built for the buyer who researches first.

Growth for industrial B2B, across long, technical buying cycles

Your buyer researches online, and increasingly through AI, long before they call sales. Wise Pirates helps manufacturers do three things: build demand and get onto the shortlist earlier, grow more revenue from the installed base, and connect marketing to pipeline across long industrial buying cycles.

Who this is for

Built for industrial B2B, whatever you make.

The buying reality rhymes across the sector: technical audiences, buying committees, long cycles, dealer channels and a growing aftermarket. We adapt the playbook to your sub-sector and go-to-market.

Equipment

Machinery & capital equipment

OEMs and capital goods with long, technical, committee-led sales and a service tail.

Components

Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers selling into manufacturers and assemblers.

Building

Process

Process & industrial goods

Materials, consumables and industrial supplies, sold direct and through channel.

And the distributors and dealers who carry you: we keep specs, product data and parts information consistent across your site, dealers, search and AI, and treat channel demand as part of the same engine, not an afterthought.

Who we are

Born inside industry, not looking in from outside.

We have real operating experience in industrial businesses. Wise Pirates was founded and is led by people who have run and grown engineering and industrial companies, not only advised them from the outside. That is a different starting point from most digital and transformation agencies.

We also grew up in one of Europe's real industrial economies. Portugal has built things for decades, and its small and mid-sized manufacturers are the backbone of it, so we speak the language of the plant, the spec and the sales engineer, and pair it with modern demand, data and AI.

From the industry, for the industry

Founded in an industrial economy

We understand long cycles, engineering buyers and dealer channels because we have lived them, not because we read a report about them.

Operators, not only advisors

Leadership that has led industrial businesses

Senior people who have carried a P&L in engineering and transformative industry. That changes the advice we give and the results we chase.

That operating experience is the difference: we chase the results an industrial P&L actually needs, with the senior firepower usually reserved for the giants.

Why now · the buyer changed

The industrial buyer went digital, and mostly buys rep-free.

The people who spec and buy your equipment now do most of their homework alone, online, and increasingly inside an AI answer, before a rep is ever involved. The old playbook of trade shows and cold calls reaches less of the decision every year.

The industrial reality

Long. Technical. A committee. Mostly off your radar.

An industrial purchase is six months to two years, six to ten decision-makers, ten or more channels, and roughly 80 percent of it done before sales is engaged. Broad B2B playbooks break here, and last-click attribution cannot see most of it.

Most of it happens without you

Around 80% of the journey is self-directed research. By the time a rep is contacted, the shortlist is usually already set, most often on day one.Gartner

The shortlist forms early

In most deals the eventual winner was already on the buyer's day-one shortlist. Miss the early, self-directed research and you are not in the running, whatever you spend later.

The data is scattered

CRM, ERP, PIM, web and dealer systems do not talk. There is no single view of the customer, and 99% of B2B leaders hit a product-data problem last year.

The margin pool almost no one markets

Parts and service are your margin. Treat them like a demand channel.

Aftermarket services carry roughly twice the gross margin of new equipment, and spare parts average around 50 percent. For focused manufacturers, service is a third or more of income. Yet almost no one runs demand for it: only about 4 percent of manufacturers earn recurring revenue from digital services.

GROSS MARGINNew equipment20%Spare parts50%Only 4% earn recurring digital-service revenue.Yet service is one-third or more of income.
Spare parts and service margins dwarf new-equipment margins, but the demand engine for them barely exists. That gap is the opportunity.
New equipment margin Aftermarket and parts margin

We treat parts and service as a channel: clean, findable product data and campaigns that generate and attribute parts and service revenue. Use your installed base, CRM and product data to spot the next parts, service and replacement opportunity before a competitor does. The service sells the second machine, so we build demand for both.

The whitespace we own

When an engineer asks an AI who to spec, are you the answer?

Buyers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews to compare suppliers, specs and parts. Page-one ranking still matters, but it is no longer the whole story when many searches end with no click. Being cited inside the AI answer is becoming one more way to make the shortlist, and most industrial brands are still early in building for it.

This is our Wise GEO Compass framework applied to industrial: we engineer the citable content, the entity and the ecosystem presence that make an AI name you, and we measure your share of the AI answer against your competitors, every month. Being cited in the answer increases your chance of entering the shortlist before sales is involved.

How Wise Pirates works for you

A great team, best practice, and proprietary tech that makes the difference.

Our proposition is a service and proprietary technology working as one. In the service you get the best of our people, our installed experience across 300+ brands, and the leading best practices. Where the field is new and moving fast, we bring proprietary frameworks of our own that competitors simply do not have.

The team

Senior, cross-disciplinary, independent

Media, data, GEO, ecommerce, automation and engineering in one crew, bold and transparent, judged on your business results, not on activity.

The frameworks

Proprietary edge for emerging areas

Wise GEO Compass for AI visibility, Wise BI Foundry for transactional truth, our marketing mix modeling for honest measurement, Wise Sidecar for senior advisory that stays.

The fit

Run it, ride beside you, or advise

We run the demand engine end to end, work beside a lean internal team, or set the strategy and standards. Tech-agnostic, no lock-in, one owner of the outcome.

Why it matters now: marketing budgets are flat, martech is used at about a third of its capacity, and 39% of CMOs are cutting generic agencies. The wedge is senior expertise plus proprietary tooling that in-house teams and commodity agencies cannot replicate. That is exactly what we bring.

What we do

The industrial demand engine, part by part.

Everything connects to one outcome: qualified pipeline and revenue you can measure. We start where the return is fastest and build the rest around it.

Demand & ABM

Pipeline from the buying committee

Account-based programs and demand generation aimed at engineers, operations, IT and procurement across the long cycle.

GEO & AEO

Be the answer AI gives

Generative and answer engine optimization so your specs, parts and expertise are cited in ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews.

Performance & programmatic

Media that reaches technical buyers

Search, programmatic and paid social tuned to industrial audiences and intent, with spend defended by real measurement.

B2B & parts ecommerce

Self-serve that sells

Storefronts, parts catalogues, configurators and account pricing, with clean product data and PIM behind them.

First-party data

One view from scattered systems

We turn CRM, ERP, PIM, web and dealer data into a usable marketing asset and audiences, on your own warehouse.

Measurement

Prove what moved pipeline and revenue

Connect media, CRM, transactional and dealer data to see what actually moved pipeline and revenue, then explain it with marketing mix modeling and incrementality, calibrated on your data so the CFO trusts the number.

Dealer & distributor

Channel demand, not just a portal

Consistent product content, co-marketing, lead routing and closed-loop tracking from channel to revenue.

Built for the mid-market

Enterprise firepower, sized for the industrial mid-market.

The global firms are built for the largest OEMs, with enterprise price tags and multi-year transformations. We are built for small and mid-sized manufacturers and industrial SMBs that need results this year, with the senior team and proprietary technology usually reserved for the giants.

Right-sized

Run it, ride beside you, or advise

Engagements sized to your scale and budget, with no holdco overhead. You pay for what moves the needle, not for layers.

Senior, not junior

The crew, not a training ground

An industrial SMB gets our senior people and our proprietary frameworks, not a team learning on your account.

Fast to value

Prove it in the first quarter

We start where the return is fastest, GEO visibility, aftermarket demand or the measurement foundation, and show a result before asking for more.

SMBs are the backbone of industry, and they are underserved by agencies built for the enterprise. We were built for them, on purpose.

Beyond marketing

Growth also needs automation, security and people ready for it.

In industry, marketing does not win alone. The same senior team brings the operational and technology layers that make growth stick, and that most agencies do not touch.

Process Automation & Agentic AI

A lean team that ships like a big one

We automate the repetitive across marketing, sales operations and the back office, and put governed agents to work, so a small industrial team does far more.

Agentic Security

Trust is non-negotiable in industry

Connected products, dealer systems and industrial data are targets. We secure the agents and the data, with security built in and our ISO 27001 discipline behind it.

AI Enablement

The capability stays in your team

The biggest blocker is skills. We get your people using data, AI, digital and the tools safely and fast, so the know-how stays in-house, not rented.

These run on our Process Automation & Agentic AI, Agentic Security and AI Enablement practices, alongside Wise BI Foundry for the data foundation. One partner for the demand engine and the operational backbone under it.

The giants are enterprise and abstract; the specialists solve one piece. We connect the whole engine, plant a flag on GEO, aftermarket demand and honest measurement, and answer for the result. The unfair advantage is the combination: a senior team, proprietary frameworks, and proof, on the angles that decide industrial growth.

Gartner

Self-serve, but not alone

Most buyers now want to research and buy digitally, yet those who go fully self-serve are the most likely to regret it. Digital presence plus expert guidance is what wins, which is exactly how we build.

Aftermarket

The aftermarket is the growth

Aftermarket services carry roughly double the margin of equipment and service is a third or more of income, but only about 4% of manufacturers earn recurring digital-service revenue.

Omnichannel

It is a ten-channel world

Winning manufacturers sell across many channels and treat self-serve, remote and in-person as equals; those with 7+ channels are far more likely to gain share.

Pattern 01 · equipment maker

From invisible in AI to on the shortlist

Industrial equipment, long cycle, technical buyers
  • Built the citable spec content, entity and ecosystem presence so the brand is named when buyers ask an AI which supplier to spec.
  • Tracked share of the AI answer against the competitive set, monthly, and closed the gaps topic by topic.
  • Connected AI and digital demand to pipeline in the CRM, not to platform-reported clicks.

The point: presence in the research the buyer does without you, measured to pipeline.

Pattern 02 · components & distribution

Aftermarket turned into a channel

Components and parts, dealer and distributor network
  • Cleaned and unified product data across the catalogue, so parts are findable online and consistent across dealers.
  • Built first-party audiences from the installed base and ran demand for parts and service, not just equipment.
  • Measured the whole with marketing mix modeling on the client's transactional data, defended to finance.

The point: the highest-margin revenue, marketed like it matters, and proven.

Both patterns run on the same principle: reach the real decision, and measure to revenue on the client's own data. Client identities and specific figures are shared under engagement.

Why Wise Pirates for manufacturing

Because the growth is in the parts everyone else skips.

We name the audience

Engineers, procurement, IT, dealers

We market to the people who actually decide, and to the distributors who carry you, not to a generic "B2B" persona.

We own the long cycle

6 to 24 months, measured

Built for committees, many channels and offline touches, with measurement that survives the CFO's questions.

We bring proprietary tech

Frameworks, not just people

GEO Compass, BI Foundry, MMM and Sidecar make the difference in emerging areas where best practice alone is not enough.

The tools change; the team, the frameworks and the accumulated data stay. That is the partner an industrial brand needs for the next decade.

The system behind the sector

The frameworks that power your industrial growth.

The manufacturing playbook runs on the rest of what we do, so presence turns into pipeline and pipeline into measured revenue, with one partner.

FAQ

Manufacturing, answered.

What does Wise Pirates do for manufacturers?
We are a growth partner for manufacturing and industrial B2B. We build the demand engine for the modern industrial buyer, who researches digitally and through AI before contacting sales: performance and programmatic media, GEO and AEO to be the answer AI gives, first-party data foundations, measurement built for long offline journeys (MMM and incrementality), B2B and aftermarket ecommerce, CRM and high-value audiences, dealer and distributor enablement, and agentic automation. Service plus proprietary technology, aimed at pipeline and revenue.
Our sales cycles are long and offline. How do you measure marketing?
Industrial journeys run six months to two years, across six to ten decision-makers and ten or more channels, most of it self-directed and offline. Last-click cannot span that. We measure with marketing mix modeling and incrementality experiments, calibrated on your own transactional and CRM data, so you see what actually moved pipeline and revenue, not a platform's self-reported claim.
Why does AI search and GEO matter for an industrial brand?
Engineers and procurement increasingly start in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Around 68% of Google searches now end with no click, and AI Overviews cut click-through sharply, so being ranked is no longer enough, you have to be cited inside the answer. Our GEO framework makes your specs, parts and expertise the answer an AI gives when a buyer asks who to spec, where almost no competitor is playing yet.
Can you help grow aftermarket and spare-parts revenue?
Yes, and it is where the margin is. Aftermarket services carry roughly twice the gross margin of new equipment and spare parts average around 50%, yet only about 4% of manufacturers earn recurring revenue from digital services. We treat parts and service as a demand channel, not just a search box: clean product data, findability, first-party audiences, and campaigns that generate and attribute parts and service revenue.
Do you work with our dealers and distributors?
Yes. Most manufacturers sell through dealers and distributors, where product data is inconsistent and lead ownership is murky. We run dealer and distributor enablement as a growth program: consistent product content and PIM, co-marketing, lead routing and closed-loop tracking from channel demand to revenue, not just a portal build.
We already have a lean internal team. How do you fit in?
We bring the best of a senior, cross-disciplinary team, the leading best practices, and proprietary frameworks and technology that in-house teams and generic agencies cannot replicate. We can run the demand engine end to end, work beside your team, or advise and set standards. Budgets are flat and skills are scarce, so the value is senior expertise plus proprietary tooling, not swappable labour.
Which industrial sub-sectors do you serve?
Industrial equipment and machinery, components and OEM suppliers, building and construction products, process and industrial goods, and the distributors that carry them. The buying reality is similar across them: technical audiences, buying committees, long cycles, dealer channels, and a growing aftermarket. We adapt the playbook to your sub-sector and go-to-market.
Where do the numbers on this page come from?
They are independent, published figures, not ours, drawn from recognised analyst and industry research, including Gartner. Every claim was checked before publication.
